Not Made in China

You have to have been living under a rock not to hear about all of the toy recalls over the past several months. And after touring a manufacturing plant when we were in China last year (pretty scary conditions, and the country is just dirty), I am trying to avoid products made there, as well as products that may include potentially hazardous materials for James. Here are a few of my favorite items I have either bought or have been given to him:

Blabla Dolls (www.blablakids.com): Everything is made from natural fibers grown in Peru and knitted by Peruvian artists. James has the Mini-Verdi Monkey and Bubbles the cat.

Sophie the Girraffe (www.landofnod.com): Handmade in the French Alps...oo la la!

Born Free Bottles (www.newbornfree.com): BPA free bottles

I know we aren't going to be able to be completely China-free, but I would like to think we are making the safest decisions possible for James in the items that we provide for him.
