Fears

It was hot and muggy this weekend (I guess summer did decide to arrive in Chicagoland), so I bought a sprinkler for James to play in. I thought this was a great idea since he loves the water (and has no problem sticking his face under the faucet, splashing, etc.). But he was seriously terrified. Want to see?
He couldn't get any further away!

Thinking of getting a little closer.

This was about as good as it got.

I'm pretty sure Chris was more wet than James was.

And in other news, our house was infested by BATS (two to be exact) last night. We heard a bunch of rustling in the attic around 1:30 AM, which woke both of us up. And it didn't stop for the next hour, so Chris got out of bed. And his solution to the problem was to climb up to the attic access and open it up to "scare" whatever was up there away. Well, he scared them away all right...right into our HOUSE. Bats were flying around the house at 3:00 AM! Chris was able to knock one of them out with a snow shovel, and we're hoping the other one that was flying around went out one of the open doors, but we're not 100% sure. We've got an exterminator coming tomorrow morning to install some one way (out) access panels on the roof so these suckers can't get in again. But for right now we're just walking around the house with a racquetball racket in self defense. I'm still really creeped out to know that we have, and will probably continue to have, bats around us.

How funny! Both the sprinkler and the bats! I would absolutely DIE if I knew there bats in the house - yikes. Good luck - keep that racquet close!
